This year 2019 will take place the first world refrigeration day

World Refrigeration Day

First annual World Refrigeration Day will take place on the 26 June 2019 with the support of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).

The initiative to take place the World Day of Refrigeration has been instituted with the aim of increasing the awareness of the international community about the role of this industry in supporting modern life and society.

Also it will raise the important contribution that refrigeration air conditioning and heat pumps make  across so many aspects of modern life – from medical, to food supply and farming, process engineering to data and IT, refrigeration technologies are essential and yet go widely unrecognised.

The United Nations (UN) environmental agency informed that its 147 national units of the OzonAction division will promote seminars, workshops, training and competitions for professionals in the sector and end users of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

In Spain, its celebration will take place at the Ateneo de Madrid, organized by the associations of the sector AEFYT (Asociación de Empresas del Frío y sus Tecnologías) and AFEC (Asociación de Fabricantes de Equipos de Climatización), with the collaboration of AFAR (Asociación de Fabricantes Andaluces de Refrigeración).
